How You Finish The Race Is Most Important!

Scripture

1 Chronicles 10

13 So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD. He failed to obey the LORD’s command, and he even consulted a medium 14 instead of asking the LORD for guidance. So the LORD killed him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.


Observation

How important is obedience? It is everything with God! Saul was unfaithful to the Lord and it cost him everything. He and his three sons died in battle; his family would no longer rule Israel. Disobedience cost him everything. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.”


Application

Are there strongholds of disobedience in your life? Is there something that you are doing and you know it is in direct disobedience to what God has told you? Remember! Finishing the race well is most important! Obey today!



Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to please you. Lord, show me any area of my life that is not yielded to you and your will. I want to have an obedient heart for you.
