Here Is How God’s Kingdom Works
Scripture
Luke 12
21 “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”
22…Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear.
31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
Observation
Don’t worry even about the basic needs that you have “food or clothes”. In our country we live in such indulgence that our worries are about accumulating more and more stuff and then worrying about the well being of what we have hoarded.
Jesus’ remedy for worry is found in verse 31, “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need.” Note that He didn’t say “everything that you want.” But if you really seek His kingdom first then everything that you are wanting would help further His kingdom so He would provide those things too.
In other words we need to make the main thing (the Kingdom of God) the main thing and we will have everything we need!
Application
I will concentrate on His kingdom and keeping it the most important priority of my life.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me stay focused on You and Your Kingdom today.
