Ezekiel 12,13,14; Revelation 5
“Blessing And Honor And Glory And Power
Belong To The One Sitting On The Throne
And To The Lamb Forever And Ever.”
(Worship – It is not about us! It is all about Him!)
Scripture
11 Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders. 12 And they sang in a mighty chorus:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered—
to receive power and riches
and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and blessing.”
13 And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.”
Observation
I saw and heard on Facebook this week a video clip of the
wife of a very famous pastor who seemed to be making a statement about worship
that didn’t quite fit in with my idea of worship. I thought of the statements
that she made as I read Revelation 5 this morning. Hopefully after she watches
the video and thinks about what she said and how it came out she will explain
herself more clearly.
Worship is all about Him. It is not about us.
Take time to worship today! Go to church! Sing to the
Lord with all your heart. Listen to God’s message from your pastor today and
then let’s apply what we hear. If you are part of a Sunday morning life group
then study God’s word today with excitement. Humble yourself before the King of
Kings and Lord of Lords. He is worthy of our praise!
Application
I will focus on worshipping Jesus today. How about you?
