Me
To The Test!
You and I can’t out give our God.
Scripture
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
Observation
Do
you know of any other place in scripture where God says to put Him to the test?
I
don’t.
This
test comes with a wonderful promise!
In
other words, if you and I will trust God and return to Him a tenth of what He
has generously provided us then He will open the windows of heaven and pour out
a blessing so great that we won’t have room to take it in!
Are
we willing to trust God?
Jesus
said pretty much the same thing, “If you give, you will receive. Your gift will
return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for
more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving—large or small—it
will be used to measure what is given back to you." Luke 6:38
You
and I can’t out give our God!
Application
I will look for ways to be generous this week. How

Prayer
Heavenly
Father, don’t let me forget that You own everything. I don’t own anything. Help
me to be a good steward of what You have provided for my family and me. I
realize that everything that I have is a blessing from You. You have been so
generous to me. I am so blessed. Don’t let me be stingy.
