There Is Not An Iota Of Truth In Him.
When He Lies,
It Is Perfectly Normal, For He Is The Father Of Liars.
Politicians … tonight they will tell us what they think we want to hear. Most of them will … Yes … even LIE to get elected. Liar … Liar … Pants on Fire!
Scripture
44 … there is not an iota of truth in him. When he lies, it is perfectly normal; for he is the father of liars.
Observation
But before you and I begin to throw stones at them we need to search our hearts and we need to search our souls to look and see how the evil one has crept into our hearts and distorted the Truth.
We also can lie, we can compromise, we can rationalize, and we can try to justify the sin in our lives, and when we do we have become slaves to sin.
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6
I read this week in my daily Bible reading about King Josiah.
In 2 Kings 22:2 and 23:25 God stated about Josiah,
“He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn away from doing what was right.” 25 Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since.
Application
Lord, give us a President that
would lead us with integrity like King Josiah! Help me to be honest and help me
to be a man of integrity.
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I pray that You would help me not to lie or compromise the truth. Help
me to be a man of integrity. Don’t let us be deceived by lies that sound like
the truth. Raise up godly leaders in our church, in our city, in our state, and
in our country. You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You are Sovereign.
You are in control.
