Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.

Observation
How
should Christians respond to the wicked? Sometimes we act like God,
our Heavenly Father doesn't exist. Trust me. He sees the evil. He
sees the wicked.
And
in Psalm 37 He lets us know that He sees it and He will take care of
it! So … Don't lose your temper – it only leads to harm.
Psalm
37 This is a good word for all of us right now. We are living in a
nation and in a world where hate seems to be boiling over!
David
was surrounded by evil with King Saul tried over and over again to
kill him. David probably wrote most of the Psalms while he was hiding
from King Saul. Yet he had incredible faith in his God!
You
and I should too!
Don’t
worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked
schemes.
For
the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will
possess the land.
Application
I
will be still in the presence of the Lord, and I will wait patiently
for Him to act. How about you?
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I put my trust in You. You see everything that is going on in
our country and in our world. You know the hearts of all of those
involved in all of this turmoil. Weed out the wicked. Deal with them.
I will not worry about
evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. I will
trust in You Lord. I will be still in Your presence.
