God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the
arrival of Titus.
Observation
Kathy
and I received a card this week via snail mail from some very special
friends who used to live here in Tampa but have now moved away.
In
the card they write, “Eddy and Kathy! Thank you for all you do
and your friendship – Stay well in these trying times! We know who
is in charge. Come soon Jesus! Love ____ and _____.” And they
even put a gift card inside the card for us to enjoy something at
Chick-Fil-A!
The
Apostle Paul was encouraged by the arrival of Titus … The Apostle
Paul realized that God encourages those who are discouraged and he
realized that God uses people to encourage people. Our friends, who
wrote us the card were being used by God to encourage us.
So
if God used my friends to encourage me then God can surely use me to
encourage someone else! Right?
Let's
let God use us to lift someone else up today! Who needs a card, a
meal, a phone call, a text, or an email?
Application
I
must do something for someone else today to make their day brighter!

Prayer
Heavenly
Father, it is so easy to get discouraged, especially in these trying
and difficult days. The news that we constantly hear is not good, and
social distancing is awful. We need encouragement. Thank you for
friends. Thank you for friends who care enough to write and to call
and that check on us. Help me to do the same. Put on my heart someone
that needs to be encouraged today. I want to be Your hands and Your
feet. I want to be used by You to lift someone up today.
