For Even The Son Of Man Came Not To Be Served But To Serve Others And Give His Life As A Ransom For Many.
For
Even The Son Of Man
Came
Not To Be Served But To Serve Others
And
Give His Life As A Ransom For Many.
Scripture
Matthew
20
25 But
Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers
in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their
authority over those under them.
28 For
even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to
give his life as a ransom for many.”
Observation
One
of the few things that I have enjoyed about this current coronavirus
crisis, and there are a couple, but the one thing that has really
moved me has been how people are looking for ways to help one another
and encourage one another! It is so Awesome!
I
hope that you have been a part of doing something good for someone.
If
you haven't … well it is not too late to start.
Kathy
was surprised today by a front porch visit from our Senior Pastor
Bruce Moore, his wife Heather, and their 3 kids, Gwen, Noel, and
Titus. They treated us to “ChurroNuts” doughnuts made by our very
own Chefs' Brian, Misty, and Franklin Sommers. What a wonderful
treat!
Have
you noticed how many different ways people are helping people all
across the United States!
Jesus
said, “Even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve
others and give His life as a ransom for many.”
Application
I
will look for someone to encourage this week or maybe Kathy and I
will look for several someones to encourage this week. We certainly
have the time and really we don't have an excuse for not doing
something good for someone else.
How
about you? Who can you touch with the love of Jesus Christ?
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, thank You for allowing us to be in a church where people
reach out and help one another. Bless our church members, Lord. Put
on their hearts this week people who need a touch from You. Put on my
heart people that need my help.
I
pray for our young married couples. Help them to stay strong in their
relationship with You and with each other. Don't let them drift
apart. Show them that they must fight for their marriage and not
fight with each other. The enemy wants to destroy them.
Thank
You for our leadership team that does so much to help us grow in
Christ. Keep them strong. Protect them from the evil one.
Show
us how to be Your hands and Your feet. Show us who needs our help!
