Turn or Burn…Repent!
Nehemiah 11; Nehemiah 12; Psalm 1; Acts 3
Scripture
Acts 3:19 “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”. Click here to read the entire chapter!
Observation
Turning from sin and turning from self and then turning to God is repentance! It is changing the direction of your life and surrendering yourself to God. Some people try to come to God without repenting of their sins and it doesn’t work. Unless you come in true repentance then your sins will not be wiped out! If you read chapter three of the book of Acts did you notice that the beggar was healed through the name of Jesus,“16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.”
Unless a person repents of their sins and places their faith in Jesus, in the power of His Name, they will die in their sins. Have you ever turned from sin and self and by faith asked Jesus Christ to save you?
Why not ask Him to save you right now?
Do you need to hear more about asking Christ to save you, then just click here?
Application
Peter and John did not have riches to give to the beggar, but they did have the Words of Life. The beggar needed to know about Jesus Christ and that is what our neighbors need to know about too!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, can you perfectly position me in the life of someone that needs to hear about Jesus and give me the boldness and love to share with them so they can be healed like this beggar in this story. Help me to make the salvation message clear so people can understand it.
