Do
Everything
Without Complaining And Arguing
Why did the Apostle Paul have to say “Everything” … bummer!
Scripture
Philippians 2
14 Do everything without
complaining and arguing, 15 so
that no one can criticize you.
Observation
I like to complain sometimes, well maybe a lot of times
about my aches and pains.
Kathy reminds me when she hears me come out with even a
little complaint about my health that things could be a lot worse. She is so
right.
What I experience on a daily basis is small potatoes
compared to what other people are going through and what other people are
struggling with and having to live with.
I am blessed. I am so blessed. God has been so good to
me. I have no complaints.
How about you?
If we complain and argue it opens us up for criticism.
Application
This week I will try really hard not to complain
about the way I feel. (Except when I go see my heart doctor on Wednesday for a
scheduled nuclear stress test)
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, the Apostle Paul is amazing! To anyone that may be reading this I want
to pray Paul’s prayer for them from Philippians 1: 9-11
I pray that your love will
overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and
understanding.
For I want you to understand what really
matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of
Christ’s return.
May you always be filled with the fruit of your
salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ —for
this will bring much glory and praise to God. Amen.
