My Lord
And
My God!

Don’t ever let me lose the wonder and awe of Christmas!

Scripture

John 20

27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”

28 “My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed.

Observation

Are you a believer? This Christmas Eve will you acknowledge that Jesus is both Lord and God? Is He your Savior?

Have you taken time to worship Him during this Christmas season? Tonight there will be Christmas Eve worship services all over the city of Tampa.

Will you take time to worship the Christ of Christmas?

Application

I will enjoy worshipping at Christ Fellowship this afternoon. He is my Lord and my God. How about you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, don’t ever let me lose the wonder and awe of Christmas.

In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God.

So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. John 1:1,14

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, 10 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12 And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
