25 Worry weighs a
person down;
an encouraging word cheers a person up.

Observation
It
doesn’t take much to discourage us does it Life can be brutal. And some days
the least little thing can bum us out. We need to be around people who will
encourage us.
There
is no better place to find encouragement than in church and no better place in
church to find encouragement than in a small group!
God
didn’t intend for us to do life alone. Church was God’s idea.
He
calls church the Body of Christ. Unless you and I are connected to the Body of
Christ we will miss out on a great place to get encouraged when life is not
going our way.
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
Romans 12:8
If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
Hebrews 10:25
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Application
I
will look for someone to encourage today. How about you?
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, some people are so encouraging. Help me to be one of those people. Help
me to get my mind off of myself and help me to look for people that need to be
built up and encouraged. Thank You for giving me such a great bunch of
encouragers at our church, at Christ Fellowship. Guide me to some one today
that needs to be lifted up!
