Thankfulness
Your Sacrifice To God
Scripture
Psalm 50
14 Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God,
and keep the vows you made to the Most High.
23 But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.
If you keep to my path,
I will reveal to you the salvation of God.”
Observation
I
just asked Kathy how she was doing in her Gratitude Journal and she reported to
me that she now has 982 things that she is thankful for and she has almost
reached her goal of 1000!
She
started this journal over a year ago and has faithfully been writing down
things that she is thankful for as they come to her mind! Maybe you and I are
included in her list!
God
says that giving Him thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors Him! Think about
that! Take time right now to make the sacrifice of thanksgiving!
Let’s
start out this week full of gratitude and thanksgiving to our Lord!
“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
Application
I
have so much to be thankful for – and so do you! Let’s thank Him!
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I know that a happy heart is a grateful heart! I give You thanks right
now. Thank You for taking such good care of me. I am fearfully and wonderfully
made! Thank You for meeting every one of my needs! Thank You for answering my
prayers. Thank You for allowing me to live another day. Thank You for my family
and my friends. You are a Mighty God. You are Worthy of All Praise!
