What Pleases The Lord.
Scripture
Ephesians 5
10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.
15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Psalm 37
3 Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Observation
These are words for us today! Are we listening?
You might ask, “Well what does God want me to do?”
There is a book for that – it is called the Bible! If you and I read it with an open heart God will show us how to live our lives. He will show us what to do that pleases Him.
Psalm 37:3-4 gives us some direction for our lives with some promises. “Trust in the LORD and do good. Take delight in the LORD. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper and He will give you your heart’s desires.”

I
will be careful how I live today. How about you?
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, thank You for giving us Your Word - without it we would be lost! Help
me to read it everyday and so I can carefully determine what pleases You and do
it. Help me to be obedient. Don’t let me be a fool and live like an unbeliever.
I pray for anyone that may be reading this blog today. Help them to be wise.
Give them a desire to be in your Word. Open up their spiritual eyes and their
spiritual heart so they can understand and know how to live.
