Don’t You Realize That I Could Ask My Father
For Thousands Of Angels To Protect Us,
And He Would Send Them Instantly?
Scripture
Matthew 26
53 Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?
Observation
When
I pray to my Heavenly Father I know that He could respond instantly sending
thousands of angels to rescue me or rescue whomever it is that I am praying
for.
I
pray for healing knowing that I am praying to the Great Physician and I know
that He loves to heal.
But
He does not always heal when I ask or at least not in the way I ask and it is
not because He is a mean God. It is because He is God and His ways are not my
ways.
Just
because I don’t understand … just because I can’t see how God is working, does
not mean that He is not at work.
God
is good. He loves me. He loves the person that I am praying for.
I
must remind myself that my God could certainly instantly fix whatever I need
for Him to fix, whatever or whoever I am praying for if that was His plan. I
must trust His Heart and so must you!
I
will continue to pray and intercede for people asking my God to work in their
lives. I will pray knowing that God loves to answer my prayers. How about you?
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I am reminded as I read Matthew 26 that sometimes You are not going to
rescue us from the dangers ahead. Suffering is part of Your plan. It is
something that I am not able to understand. One day when I am in Heaven maybe I
will be able to see why suffering had to be a part of Your plan for us while we
were here on planet Earth. Even though I don’t understand it I trust Your
heart. I know that You love us. I know that You care about us. Not one hair on
my head goes unnoticed by You – You have them all counted! Help me to realize
that Your plan for me and for the ones that I pray for is so much bigger than I
can even imagine. You have big wonderful plans for us that will last forever!
