Imitate
God,
Therefore In Everything You Do.
Ephesians 5
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
8 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! 9 For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.
Observation
Do
you want to live life filled with purpose and meaning? Do you want to live your
life in a way that makes God smile? Okay, here is the recipe for living that
kind of life; a life filled with purpose and meaning; a life that makes God
smile:
- Imitate God in everything you do.
- Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.
- Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.
Application
I
am a child of God so I will strive to imitate God in everything I do. How about
you?
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, everyday I have the opportunity to make You smile. Help me to do that
today. Show me how to live my life everyday in a way that pleases You. I pray
for anyone that may be reading this blog today. Help them to live out his or
her life in a way that brings You honor and glory. Help us not to be selfish
today. Help us to imitate You and help us to live our lives filled with love,
following the example of Jesus Christ.
