The LORD Directs
Our Steps,
So Why Try To Understand Everything Along The Way?

Scripture

24 The Lord directs our steps,
so why try to understand everything along the way?

Observation

Why did this happen to me? Why did that happen to them?

The LORD directs our steps; so don’t try to understand all of the “whys” along the way? You and I are not going to understand them.

God’s ways are not our ways!

I don’t know about you but when I am in the middle of a crisis I always try to focus on the attributes of God, on what God is like.

Here are some of the attributes of God that usually come to my mind?

You can add more to my list:

God is good … 100% always good.
God is love.
God is just.
God is righteous.
God is All-Powerful
He is All Knowing,
God is always with me.
God is Sovereign. He is in control.
He is a God of Mercy and a God of Grace.
He is Faithful.
He never changes.
He is constantly thinking about me!

Just to name a few. Feel free to add to my list!

So I don’t have to understand everything along the way and neither do you.

We do need to trust Him.

When you and I can’t see God’s hand in what is going on in our life … then … we trust His heart!

 Application

I will trust God with every detail of my life. How about you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I know that You are Sovereign. You are in control. I am not. You know the very number of hairs on my head. You know my thoughts before I even have them. You know everything about me and You still love me. You are amazing. Over and over and over again in Your Word You tell me to trust You with everything. Help me to do just that.

I pray for anyone reading this blog that may be focus on Your attributes. Show them that they can trust You.
