10 Carefully
determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take
no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose
them. 12 It is shameful even
to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret.
Observation
You
and I are to carefully determine what pleases the Lord. We are to
take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, we
are to expose them.
This
past week has been a horrible reminder to me of just how ungodly,
just how dark, and just how evil the world around us has become.
Legalized
abortion was evil and ungodly enough, but for the ungodly that
obviously was not evil enough, they had to go even darker, even more
sinister, to something even more shameful, now to the murdering of
full term innocent babies. I am still in the state of unbelief that
this could be happening.
The
Biblical characters, Pharaoh and King Herod, shocked us by ordering
the killing of innocent babies and yet their evil deeds then were
nothing compared to what is happening in our own country right now …
right before our own eyes.
Somehow,
some way, this evil must be stopped. God help us.
Application
I
will look for even more ways to support the Pro-Life movement.

Heavenly
Father, what You say in Your Word about the ungodly is so true. How
can they even think of such evil. This horrific turn of events
reminds me of your description of the human heart in Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart
is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know
it? Raise up godly leaders, Lord, who will stand up
against this evil. Raise up leaders who will protect the unborn, the
elderly, and those with special needs.
