Scripture
Romans 4:21 "being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised."
Observation
You can make some promises that even though you have the best intentions to keep, you don’t have the power to keep them. You may promise to protect your wife and your children, but sometimes you are not able to keep that promise because you do not have power over sickness or over accidents. God has both good intentions and the power to fulfill every promise He makes to us in scripture. In fact, there is not one promise in scripture that He will not keep. He is a promise making and a promise keeping God. I am glad that my Heavenly Father is an All Powerful Mighty Awesome God who delights in keeping His promises. Aren’t you!
Application
Our salvation does not depend on our good works, if it did we could have something to boast about, but it is dependent on our faith in an All Powerful Promise Keeping God who sent Jesus to die for us. What promise have you made to God lately? How are you doing on keeping your promise?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you that I don’t have to depend on being good enough to be saved. Thank you for everything that you have promised to do for me in your Word. Thank you that nothing is too hard for you.
