Do You Still Have a Record?

Scripture
Romans 4
4 When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. 5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners. 6 David also spoke of this when he described the happiness of those who are declared righteous without working for it:
7 “Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sins are put out of sight.
8 Yes, what joy for those
whose record the LORD has cleared of sin.”
Observation
Today a person can go on the internet and see if you have a police record or not. Teenagers who commit crimes while they are still considered juveniles have the opportunity to have their records wiped clean. God says that all of us have records and if those offenses are not wiped clean then we will die in our sins (offenses).
We have the opportunity to have our sins forgiven by God and God is willing to forgive our sins if we put our faith in Jesus Christ. It is our faith in Christ that allows God to forgive our sins and it is only when we place our faith in Christ that our record is wiped clean.
So let me ask you …do you still have a record, or has it been wiped clean by the blood of Christ? Yes or No?
Application
This is the Good News that I plan to share this week as God allows me opportunities.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that my record has been wiped clean. I am Heaven bound because of Your Grace and Your Love. It is not because of anything that I have done. I don’t deserve Your forgiveness, but thank You for forgiving me. Help me share this Good News with someone this week.
