Why Are You Crying The Blues?

Psalm 43

5 Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul?
    Why are you crying the blues?
 
Fix my eyes on God—
    soon I’ll be praising again.
 
He puts a smile on my face.
    He’s my God.

Observation

Someone has said that we need to glance at our circumstances and we need to fix our gaze on God.

Perspective is everything.

I hear Pastor Bruce often say that we need to look at things from 30,000 feet and get the big picture.

When we catch ourselves down in the dumps lets fix our eyes on God and soon we’ll be praising again. He will put a smile on our face. He is our God. 

Application

I will try to look at things from 30,000 feet or higher. How about you?

Prayer

Why am I down in the dumps, dear soul? Why am I crying the blues?
I will fix my eyes on God— and soon I’ll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God.
