You Rule The Oceans

You Subdue Their Storm-Tossed Waves …

Everything In The World Is Yours – You Created It All.

Scripture

Psalm 89

8 Lord God All-Powerful, there is no one like you.
    You are strong, Lord, and always faithful.

9 You rule the stormy sea.
    You can calm its angry waves.

11 Everything in heaven and earth belongs to you.
    You made the world and everything in it.

Observation

I went fishing today with Bobby Baker. We went out on a large fishing party boat out into the Gulf of Mexico. When you get far enough out in the Gulf the land disappears and all you see is ocean all around you in every direction.

The vastness of the ocean makes me feel so small and I am in awe of my God who is so great!

God is a wonderful Creator God.

My God rules. He subdues the storms in the oceans.  He subdues the storms in my life too!

When we were going out to where we were going to fish the wind was blowing about 20 miles per hour. We knew that it was going to be really rough once we got out to where we were going to fish, but when we got out where the Capitan wanted us to fish the wind died down and it turned out to be pretty calm.

Just in case you were wondering … Bobby Baker caught the most and the biggest fish between the two of us, but he usually does!

 Application

I will praise Him and thank Him for all He has made.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You rule the oceans. You subdue their storm-tossed waves.
The heavens are yours, and the earth is yours; everything in the world is yours—you created it all.
