1 Samuel 6; 1 Samuel 7; Psalm 72; 2 Corinthians 9
So Two Good Things Will Result
From
This Ministry Of Giving
Scripture
2 Corinthians 9
11 Yes, you will be enriched in
every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to
those who need them, they will thank God. 12 So two good things will result from this
ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and
they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
Observation
Our giving will accomplish two things:
1. It will meet the need of the
person who we are helping.
2. God will receive a “Thanks offering” from the
person we helped!
I remember Psalm 50:23a “ But
giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me…”
Application
I will look for ways to be generous this week.
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, there is no way that we can out give You! When we give to others the
blessing is always ours. You love it. Thank You for blessing us so much. Thank
You for the gift of “strawberries” that we received yesterday from someone in
our small group. You will bless them for being a blessing to us. Thank You for
their generosity.
Thank You for all the people that helped serve in our church
this past Sunday. I especially give You thanks for everyone who helped me with
the Shave Ice Ministry. We cannot out give You.
