Equal in The Lord!

S
cripture

Romans 16

1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a deacon in the church in Cenchrea. 2 Welcome her in the Lord as one who is worthy of honor among God’s people. Help her in whatever she needs, for she has been helpful to many, and especially to me.

Observation

Paul had no problem recognizing the ministry of Phoebe, a woman that served in the church in Cenchrea. He told the church in Rome to provide for her needs just as any other teacher or servant of the Lord that traveled to minister to them. He had no problem letting them know how valuable her ministry was to others and to him personally.

Application

I will not intentionally discriminate between male and female servants of the Lord, but instead I will try to value every worker that the Lord brings into my life.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me value people period whether they are male or female and help me not discriminate against those that serve You for any reason whether it be color, sex, or language, help me treat each person as I would like to be treated. Show me who needs to be encouraged and built up today.
