He Has Removed
Our Sins As Far From Us
As The East Is From The West.
Scripture
Psalm 103
12 He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.
Observation
If
you and I have turned from sin and selfish living and have surrendered our
lives to the Lord Jesus Christ and have asked Him to forgive us of our sins
then the penalty of our sins has been removed as far as the east is from the
west.
It
bothers me that some folks who are very close to me can’t seem to understand
that sinful living is an empty way of life. Jesus Christ was crucified on a
cross to set us free from the penalty of sin and to rescue us from the
emptiness of sinful living.
So
lets not get entangled in sin; lets not yield to the temptation to sin!
And
when we do yield to the temptation lets immediately turn from that sin, turn to
God and ask Him to forgive us, so we can have a good relationship with our
Heavenly Father.
If
you find yourself miserable, empty, living but not really living, trying to get
momentary pleasure from things (pills, booze, illicit sex, work gambling,
pornography, etc.) none of that is going to work for you.
Life
is not going to make sense. Your life and my life is not going to be filled
with joy; it is not going to be filled with meaning and purpose for us until
Jesus Christ has the number one place in our life.
The
secret to an abundant life, a life filled with meaning and life filled with joy
and purpose is found in this verse. Put this verse on your refrigerator:
Matthew
6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

1
Peter 1:18
For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you
inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver,
which lose their value.
1 John 1:9
But if we confess our sins to
him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
wickedness.
1 John 4:10
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent
his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Ephesians 1:7
He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with
the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
Application
I
will continue to pray for those who can’t seem to realize that Jesus Christ
needs to be number one in their life.
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I am so glad that You saved me from the empty life. I didn’t deserve it
and I still don’t deserve it, but I am so grateful that You saved me. You have
taken away my sins as far as the East is from the West. I am forgiven. I have
no excuse not to live a godly life. Help me to stay away from things that would
cause me to sin. Give me the strength to say “No” to temptations as they come
my way.
I
pray for anyone that may be reading this blog today. Give them victory over any
sin that they might be struggling with. Help them to say “no” to the things
that would not bring You glory. Help all of us to honor You with our bodies.
You are worthy of all honor and praise!
