If God
Is For Us,
Who Can Ever Be Against Us?
Scripture
Romans 8
31 What shall we say about such
wonderful things as these?
If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
32 Since he did not spare even
his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
33 Who dares accuse us whom God has
chosen for his own?
No one—for God himself has given us right
standing with himself.
34 Who then will condemn us? No
one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is
sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
Observation
Need
encouragement this morning? Read Romans chapter 8! And if after you read it you
still need encouragement read it again and again until what God is saying sinks
in!
I
don’t know of a more powerful chapter in all of God’s Word.
It
is the passage for our lesson this morning in our 9 am Bible study.
Jesus’
life, death, and resurrection are proof of just how much our Heavenly Father
loves us.
Nothing
can separate us from His love and from His care. He is our Heavenly Father and
we are His children, joint heirs with Jesus Christ!
Romans 8
38 And I am convinced that
nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither
angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about
tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
39 No power in the sky above or in the
earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us
from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Application
I
am convinced that nothing can separate me from God’s love. How about you?
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I don’t deserve it but I know that it is true that I have been blood
bought with the blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is pleading for me
right now on my behalf. I am Your child and one day I will enjoy everything
that You have prepared for me and that You have prepared for all of us who call
You our Heavenly Father. It is a privilege that none of us deserve, but it is
also something that no one can take away from us. We are Yours forever!
