Jesus
Looked At Them Intently And Said,
“Humanly
Speaking, It Is Impossible,
But
With God Everything Is Possible.”

23 Then
Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very
hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
24 I’ll
say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a
needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”
26 Jesus
looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is
impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
Observation
In
the Old Testament we do see how God blessed people like Job, Abraham,
Jacob, and others with wealth and it must have been an assumption
that most rich people were rich because they had God's hand of
blessing on them.
The
disciples were shocked at what Jesus said in verses 23 & 24 of
Matthew 19 and so they asked Him, “Then who in the world can be
saved?”
It
is a great question for us today?
Humanly
speaking, you and I can't save ourselves by being good and we can't
do enough good things to get ourselves into Heaven.
In
December we will celebrate the birth of a Savior ... Jesus Christ!
Do

Acts
4:12
12 There
is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven
by which we must be saved.”
Romans
10:9-10,13
9 If you
openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God
raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is
by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it
is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
… 13 For
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will
be saved.
Application
I
will continue to share the Good News with people that Jesus Saves!

Prayer
Heavenly
Father, this is the time of the year when people seem to be most open
to spiritual things. So I pray that You penetrate the hearts of those
close to us that are still trying to live life like You do not exist.
I pray for their salvation. Use anything Lord to get their attention.
Please do whatever it takes to change their hearts. I want them to be
in Heaven with us. Please Lord, change their hearts.
