Love Your Neighbor As Yourself.

Love
Your Neighbor
As Yourself.
Scripture
Matthew 22
29 Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.
34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again.

35 One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question:

36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
Observation

People, no matter who they are, who think that they are better than someone else, superior to someone else, just because of the color of their skin, don't know the Scriptures very well and they don't know the power of God.

Anyone who reads the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John can plainly see that Jesus' loved those who were looked down upon or marginalized by society, like tax collectors, prostitutes, the diseased (lepers), the crippled, and especially the Samaritans.

There is no room for prejudice in our hearts if we are seeking to put God and His kingdom first! Nip it in the bud!
Application
I will guard my heart against prejudice. How about you?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, it is evident that we live in a fallen world. We are all sinners and that fact is very evident by how we treat each other. Help me to love people the way You love them. Don't let me think for a minute that I am better than someone else. Help me to put the needs of others above my own. Give me Your heart for those around me.
