Therefore
He Is Able To Save Completely
Those
Who Come To God Through Him,
Because
He Always Lives To Intercede For Them.
Scripture
Hebrews
7
24 but
because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood.
25 Therefore
he is able to save completely those who come to God through
him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
26 Such a
high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless,
pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.
27 Unlike
the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day
after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the
people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he
offered himself.
Observation
Last
night while you and I were sleeping, that is, if you are a follower
of Jesus Christ, we had Someone who was praying and interceding for
us. Someone who never needs to sleep. Someone who is always there for
us. Someone who is always thinking about us. Yes, His name is Jesus.
No
matter what you and I are going through right now or what we will go
through in the future we can be sure of this, our God, the God who
created this Universe … He is going to take care of us.
How
do I know? Because He came down to this earth as Jesus Christ and He
sacrificed His own body to pay the penalty for my sins. And He is now
in Heaven constantly interceding for me and hopefully He is praying
and interceding for you too! Do you know Him?
Psalm
23:1-6
1 The Lord is
my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
2 He
lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me
beside peaceful streams.
3 He
renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing
honor to his name.
4 Even
when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I
will not be afraid,
for you are close
beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect
and comfort me.
5 You
prepare a feast for me
in the presence of
my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My
cup overflows with blessings.
6 Surely
your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all
the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of
the Lord
forever.
John
10:14-15,27-30
14 “I am
the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,
15 just as
my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for
the sheep.
27 My
sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I
give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch
them away from me,
29 for
my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone
else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.
30 The
Father and I are one.”
Application
I
will thank the Lord for all that He has done and for all that He
continues to do for me.
How
about you?
Psalm
50:23
But
giving thanks is
a sacrifice that
truly honors me. ...
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, thank You so much for all that You have done for me and for
all that You continue to do. I know that Jesus is at Your right hand
interceding for me right now. I don't deserve it, but I am glad that
He intercedes for me as unworthy as I am. I am blood bought with the
precious blood of Jesus Christ. Help me to live in a way that pleases
You. Thank You for taking such good care of me.
