Bringing Children to Jesus!

Esther 3; Esther 4; Esther 5; Esther 6; Esther 7; Esther 8; Luke 18

Scripture

The Little Children and Jesus

Luke18:15-17 "People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

Observation

Did you know that most people come to faith in Jesus Christ before the age of 18? It is so important that we help children to grow up with the opportunity to know Jesus. It is so important that your child or your grandchild have the opportunity to attend church and hear about Jesus. The disciples didn’t want to have Jesus bothered by parents bringing their children to Jesus to receive a blessing. Jesus gently rebuked them and reminded them that if they were going to come to God they would have to have child like faith!

Application

My grandchildren and all the kids at church need every opportunity to grow in Christ. I will continue to look at ways to make our children’s ministry even stronger and give more support to our children’s workers. Go to this website and get some help sharing with your children about Jesus! www.daretobeadaniel.com

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me to be a GrandPa and for letting Kathy be a GrandMa! Help us to impact our grandchildren with the Good News about Jesus. May they grow up and place their faith in Him. I pray for our workers in Kids City and our R.A., G.A., and Mission Friend workers. Bless them and help them touch our kids’ lives.
