Scripture

2 Thessalonians 1

11 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. 12 We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Observation

How many times have you had the Lord lay something on your heart, but you didn’t finish what the Lord had prompted you to do? Paul says that we should pray for others and ask God to help people fulfill every act that has been prompted by their faith. Great prayer to pray for those in areas of leadership or for anyone that is on your heart.

Application

Finishing what God has prompted us to do is so important. What do you need to work on finishing today?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for prompting me to do things but I pray that you help me to finish what you lay on my heart to do. I pray today for our church staff that you prompt them today to do many things and I pray that by your power they will be able to accomplish them. Be glorified through each of them today.
