Scripture

Acts 28

30 For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, 31 boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.

Observation

I think that this is amazing! Paul had always wanted to go to Rome and preach. He tried many times but was never able to go, but now at the end of his life he is preaching and no one is even trying to stop him. You have to wonder how many people came to Christ during Paul’s two house arrest in Rome. God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. God had a plan for Paul’s life and we are touched by that plan just about every day as we read God’s word.

God is going to use us. Nobody can keep us from being used by God unless maybe it is ourselves. When we are in the center of God’s will nobody can touch us unless it is part of God’s plan. God is working constantly in the lives of those around us. He never slows down. He never grows tired. He is a God of Mercy. It is His desire that those around us be saved. And so we pray for their salvation and we watch God work.

Application

I will boldly proclaim Jesus!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, give me the boldness of Paul. Help me to keep You first in my life. Thank You for what You are doing in the lives of those around me. Thank You for being a God of Mercy, a God of love, and thank You for not giving any of us what we deserve. Amen.
