Lets Finish Well

Scripture

Acts 20

24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Observation

I want to finish well. I want my life to count for the kingdom. I don't want to retire. I don't want to slow down. I want to finish well. I want to make a difference in the lives of as many people as possible. There has been a job that has been assigned to me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Do you want to finish well too?

Application

Today I want to count. I want to make a difference in someone's life. How about you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I want to finish well. I want to complete my task. I want You to smile at my life. Don't let me mess up. Don't let me settle for something less than what You have for me. Put people in my life today that need to hear about You.

We are still praying for you and seeing the hand of the Lord at work. As I was praying this morning my mind went to Jesus and Lazarus for some reason. I know the Lord cares for you just the same, feels the pain of what you and your family (and friends) are going through right now, and I am praising him for each day you are improving. I know that if He were to take you home though that you would be greeted with "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter in for great is your reward"...so in all things I give Him praise for your life, and ask Him to be glorified in and through you during this difficult time. May the Lord bring strength and encouragement and peace to you, Kathy and the entire family. Our God is an awesome God! ...thank you for serving Him faithfully for so many years.
Love,
Laura

Dad, I can't help but comment on your blog from this date... This is the night of your heart attack. Like I kept saying in mine and Timmy's blog about you while you were so ill, your work was not done here. God still has plans for you BUT you can still "finish well" and SLOW DOWN :) I love you and thank God every day for his healing. Jenny
