Scripture

Psalm 11

4 But the LORD is in his holy Temple;
the LORD still rules from heaven.
He watches everyone closely,
examining every person on earth.

5 The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked.
He hates those who love violence.

6 He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked,
punishing them with scorching winds.

7 For the righteous LORD loves justice.
The virtuous will see his face.

Observation

How many times in a week do you need to be reminded that the Lord still rules from heaven? Our government may be out of control and our country and this world may be going crazy, but the Lord still rules from heaven. He is still on His throne and He still rules!

So no matter what happens in this world we know who is ultimately in charge and none of this craziness has caught Him by surprise. He is not surprised at all. In fact, He is working out His plan and nothing is going to stop Him … nothing!

He is watching us closely.

Application

I will look forward to seeing His face!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, even though it seems like evil is winning and even though it seems like things keep getting worse instead of better, I know that You are in charge and nothing is slipping by You unnoticed. I know that one day we will walk in complete victory. The victory is already ours. We have already won because Christ has given us the victory. Amen!
