Giving Sight To The Blind

Scripture

2 Corinthians 3

16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Observation

Most people in this world are spiritually blind. They are walking around seeing but not seeing! Only when someone turns to the Lord Jesus Christ is the veil of darkness taken away. Now all of us that have had the veil removed, we can really see and we can really reflect the glory of the Lord. And God is making us more and more like Jesus every day. I love it.

As I talk to people at Mission Tampa about their spiritual condition it is so sad to me that many of them just cannot see the spiritual truth that Jesus saves! They seem to talk the talk, but they just don’t understand, the veil has not been lifted. They are still living in spiritual darkness.

It is our job to share the Good News with everyone so that they have the opportunity to turn from darkness to the Light. Only Jesus can save them, but they can’t be saved unless someone shares with them. They will always live in spiritual darkness unless someone shares with them about Jesus.

Application

I will look for people that need to hear about Jesus and I will share with them.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that we can reflect Your glory. Thank you for making us more and more like Jesus and we are grateful that You are changing us into His glorious image. I pray that more and more people will come to Jesus through the ministry of our church. I pray for our leadership team. I pray that You bless them and I pray that You use them in a mighty way this weekend as we celebrate Easter!
