You Will
Always
Harvest What You Plant.

Scripture

Galatians 6

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

Observation

When you and I use the word “ALWAYS” it often reflects a harsh, negative, critical attitude in us towards someone else.

We throw it out there when we are fighting and arguing with our spouse, or with one of our children, or maybe even with a coworker or an employee to point out some deficiency that we think he or she has.

In contrast, when God uses the word “ALWAYS” it is to point out something about His character or an Eternal truth or principle and we better pay attention!

Here is the Eternal Principle: You and I will always reap or harvest what we plant or sow.
If you want your relationship with someone to change for the better then put into practice Galatians 6:9-10!

It is the law of the harvest! You will “always” harvest what you plant!

Galatians 6

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

 Application

I will look for an opportunity to do good to someone today. How about you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, it is true that the words always and never when they come out of my mouth or when they are even in my thoughts it is almost always because my attitude needs an adjustment. Help me to plant the right stuff so that I can have a harvest of blessing. Help me to do good. You know how easy it is for me to be selfish. You know my heart. May Your Holy Spirit guide me today and may my thoughts be Your thoughts for the people around me!
