Scripture

2 Corinthians 3

16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Observation

Someone has said that dog owners and their dogs look more and more alike over time. I don’t think that is true do you, but a Christ-follower should look more and more like his or her owner, more and more like Jesus. This passage says that the Holy Spirit is making us more and more like the glorious image of Jesus. How is the Holy Spirit doing in your life? Are you making it difficult for Him? Am I allowing Him to work in my life? Do you and I reflect the glory of the Lord?

Application

I will try to be patient with people today because we are all works in progress.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to be more like Jesus today. Give me patience with those around me because none of us are what we should be. Give me discernment to be able to see the real needs in people’s lives and not just see their problems, not just see their obvious hurts, hang-ups, and bad habits. Help me to love people that are hard to love. I want to reflect your glory today. In Jesus Name Amen.
