Scripture

2 Corinthians 5

18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Observation

We are God’s representatives, His ambassadors and our task is to bring people back to Him. We go to those that are enemies of God and share with them the Good News of God’s love and urge and invite them to come back to God.

The message is this, “Surrender your life to God so that you can live forever as one of His children. If you continue in your sins and continue to go your own way and refuse to follow Christ then you will die in your sins and you will perish.”

Are you an enemy of God or has their been a time in your life when you made peace with Him?

Application

I will be a bold ambassador for Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me the privilege of being your ambassador. I realize that it has nothing to do with my goodness, but everything to do with Who You Are and Your Righteousness and Your Goodness. Help me to be good ambassador that you can be proud of. Don’t let me bring you shame. Give me your thoughts and your message today to share with Your people as we meet.

Also as a good ambassador should, we don't speak for yourselves and our own interest but we should look out for the "king" that we are working for. Everything that we do should be for the greater good of the kingdom.
