Scripture
Acts 4
12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
Observation
When I talk to most people and ask them this question if you were standing at Heaven’s gate and God asked you, “Why should I let you into My Heaven what would you say?” They almost all say, “Oh I would tell Him that He should let me in because I am a good person or some say because I have done more good things than bad things.” What they are saying is that they are going to save themselves, but there is no mention most of the time in the person’s response to that question of knowing and having a personal relationship with Jesus.
And without a personal relationship with Jesus, if Jesus is not Lord and Savior of your life, if you have never surrendered your life to Him and turned from sin and self, then you do not have salvation. You are lost and going to a place of eternal separation and torment a place the Bible calls Hell.
Time is short and Hell is hot! And Jesus is the only way to Heaven. There are not many ways. There is only one way to be saved and that way is Jesus. Do you know Him? Is He your Lord and your Savior?
Application
I will share the Good News of Acts 4 every chance I get!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, people hear the Gospel and yet they don’t hear it. People at church hear the Gospel preached but they don’t really hear it. Give spiritual understanding to those at our church who think that they are going to Heaven by doing good works. Show them their need for a Savior. Open their eyes so that they can see Jesus!
