Lottie Moon Christmas Offering - Pray about what God would have you and your family to give.

Scripture

2 Corinthians 9

⁶ Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

¹⁵ Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Observation

Remember this: during the Christmas season (and all year round) the person who sows generously will also reap generously!

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering nationally is 175 million dollars this year! The offering for Christ Fellowship this year is $20,000.00

This one offering at Christmas provides more than half of the support to keep our 4,900 missionaries serving around the world. Last year through their efforts:

·        Nearly 1,700,000 heard a gospel witness

·        More than 235,000 became new believers

·        141 new people groups were engaged

Giving gifts at Christmas to family members is important, but lets downsize this year so we can give more to reach the world for Jesus!

Heavenly Father, I believe You when You say, “…for God loves a cheerful giver.⁸ And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
    their righteousness endures forever.”

¹⁰ Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. ¹¹ You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. (2 Cor. 9:7-11) Amen
