Who Encourages Those Who Are Discouraged,
Encouraged Us By The Arrival Of Titus. 



Scripture

2 Corinthians 7

⁶ But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus. ⁷ His presence was a joy, but so was the news he brought of the encouragement he received from you.

Observation

God brings people into our lives to encourage us! And God brings people into our lives that need our encouragement! We need friends and our friends need us! The Apostle Paul was discouraged. Ministry is tough! It can be brutal! It is not for wimps!

Paul needed some encouragement and God sent Titus to lift Paul up! With Facebook, text messages, cell phones, email, cars, and even snail mail there is no excuse for us not to reach out and help someone who is having a rough time. 

Yesterday, my brother in law, David Bearden, Kathy’s younger brother took me to visit our former Hillsborough High School football coach, Coach Billy Turner. Coach Turner is battling a very rare type of cancer. He is fighting it and he has very strong faith and trust in the Lord. 

When David and I left Coach Turner’s home I do believe we were the ones who received the most encouragement!

What an amazing, powerful, humble and influential man Coach Billy Turner is and what a joy and privilege it was and it always is to spend time with him!

Pray for coach and his wife Lucy.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I pray for Coach Turner and his wife Lucy and all their children and grandchildren. I pray for healing and strength. Help Lucy as she takes care of her husband. Give her extra strength. Thank You for letting Coach see that his relationship with You is the most important thing in his life. I pray other friends and family members that are battling cancer. Heal them. Give them strength. Draw them close to You. Show them Your Love, Your Power, and may they sense Your Presence today.
