So Stop
Telling
Lies.

Scripture

Ephesians 4

²⁰ But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. ²¹ Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, ²² throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. ²³ Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. ²⁴ Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
²⁵ So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.

Observation

 Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire! 

Lying … stop it … it is sad, but just as the Apostle Paul had to exhort the Christians in Ephesians to be honest and truthful, the same word of exhortation is needed for us who call ourselves Christians today. 

Nothing destroys relationships faster than lies and deception. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. 

Lets be people of our word. Lets be people of integrity. 

Need to get honest with someone? Do it right away. 

The truth will set you free! 

We can’t be what God has called us to be if we are not people of integrity. 

Application

I will strive to be a person of integrity. How about you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to throw off my old sinful nature and my former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception and may Your Spirit renew my thoughts and attitudes.  Help me to put on my new nature, created to be like You —truly righteous and holy.
