Come Up Here!

Come
Up
Here!
Scripture
Revelation 11
And for three and a half days, all peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will stare at their bodies. No one will be allowed to bury them.
10 All the people who belong to this world will gloat over them and give presents to each other to celebrate the death of the two prophets who had tormented them.
11 But after three and a half days, God breathed life into them, and they stood up! Terror struck all who were staring at them.
12 Then a loud voice from heaven called to the two prophets, “Come up here!” And they rose to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched.
Observation
Reading Ezekiel and Revelation for your Quiet time is a tough read! I was hoping that maybe there would have been be a Psalm stuck in between Ezekiel and Revelation, but there wasn’t today! I thought about adding some, but I didn't!
Revelation 11:12 did get my attention this morning, “Then a loud voice from heaven called to the two prophets, “Come up here!”

One day the Lord is going to say to me, “Come up here!”

God is Sovereign. He is in control. He is not wringing His hands over what is happening in our world. He has it all under control.

Every detail, every crazy thing that is going on in Washington, none of it, has caught our Lord by surprise. But, I bet a lot of what is going on makes Him shake His head. And I guarantee you that He is not happy with us as a nation!

By the way, only a Sovereign God could tell who (if anybody) is actually telling the truth in all of the attacks and counter attacks going on between our government leaders. News, what we see, what we hear is slanted … it is filled with schemes and clouded by deception.

Yet, in spite of all of this craziness , you can be sure that God is still working out His plan.

One day soon He is going to say to me, and one day He is going to say to you, if you are a Christ follower, “Come up here!”

Are you ready?
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
Application
I will put God’s agenda first today.
How about you?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who always was, for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign. The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever. Revelation 11:17&15
I pray for our leadership. I pray for our President and I pray for the others who lead our nation. Work in their hearts Lord. Help them to make godly decisions according to Your Word. Raise up godly men and women to lead us, both here in our city and state and in our nation. You have told us to pray for them. I am praying for them right now.
