Scripture

Romans 5

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Observation

Kathy and I have just returned from a pastor’s conference at Saddleback Church in California. I am dead tired but I want to take a minute to write my blog before I crash in my bed. Pastor Rick Warren shared one of the most exciting plans that I have ever heard! I want you to take time to get acquainted with this plan; it is called the P.E.A.C.E. plan. Just click here to read all about it. I believe that every New Testament Church should and could be a part of this P.E.A.C.E. plan. It makes sense! The Church and only the Church can do what Rick Warren is proposing! You have to read about it!

The P. in the P.E.A.C.E. plan stands for Promote Reconciliation and only the church bring people into a right relationship with their Creator God.

And we have been given this task of reconciliation, “2 Cor. 5:19-21 “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!" For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”

Application

I plan to involve our church in the P.E.A.C.E. plan in 2008.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me be your ambassador to those that need to hear the Good News about reconciliation. You have given the church this task and it is up to us to reach the nations. I pray that you speak to the hearts thousands of pastors and lead them to become involved in this plan for your glory and for your honor. I pray for all of those working on this project that you bless them with the wisdom and the knowledge needed to involve your entire church around the world. I know that you are smiling on those that are leading this endeavor. May your will be done and may the nations be brought to your throne! In Jesus Name Amen.
