How Precious Is Your Unfailing Love, O God!
All Humanity Finds Shelter
In The Shadow Of Your Wings

Scripture

Psalm 36

⁵ Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
    your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.

⁶ Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
    your justice like the ocean depths.

You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.

⁷     How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity finds shelter
    in the shadow of your wings.

Observation

Jesus said as He looked at Jerusalem, ““O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.” Matthew 23:37

As Jesus looks out over the city of Tampa I believe that He would say the same thing. He came to seek and to save the lost. 

Give us God’s heart for our city!

Application

I will ask God to give me a heart like His for the people around me.  

Prayer

 Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.  How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. Give me a heart like yours for the people that You bring into my life.
