Pray Much For Others,
Plead For God’s Mercy Upon Them,
Give Thanks For All He Is Going To Do For Them.
Scripture
2 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.
Observation
The Apostle Paul gives Timothy a lesson on how to pray
for people. The lesson is for me this morning too. How about you?
So we pray for “all” people. We ask God to help them. We
go to God on their behalf. And we give thanks for what God is going to do in
their lives.
Why… because God wants everyone to be saved and to
understand the truth.
Application
I am praying for my family. I am asking God to help them.
I am interceding on their behalf. I give thanks to God today for what He is
going to do in their lives.
Prayer
Heavenly
Father, I am praying right now for my entire family. I am interceding on their
behalf. Help them to understand the truth. Thank You for working in their lives.
Nothing is too hard for You. I know that it pleases You for me to pray for
them. I pray for everyone that attends our church this morning. I pray that
Your Holy Spirit would work in each and every one of our hearts this morning.
