God Did Not Give Us A Spirit Of Cowardice,
But Rather
A Spirit Of Power And Of Love And Of Self-Discipline.

Put on your big boy pants and quit whining! Maybe that is a word that you need to hear this morning! God has not called us to be wimps! Lets quit the blame shifting! Put on your big boy pants! When you and I start something lets finish it! God has given us the Spirit of Power, Love, and Self-Discipline so lets start acting like it! It is so easy to blame someone else for our shortcomings! Quit doing it!

Scripture

2 Timothy 1

7 For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.

Observation

Put on your big boy pants and quit whining!

Maybe that is a word that you need to hear this morning! God has not called us to be wimps! Lets quit the blame shifting!

Put on your big boy pants!

When you and I start something lets finish it!

God has given us the Spirit of Power, Love, and Self-Discipline so lets start acting like it!

It is so easy to blame someone else for our shortcomings! Quit doing it!

Self-discipline is what we need and God says that it is something that we have already inside of us! God’s Holy Spirit living within us can give us the self-discipline to do whatever God puts on our hearts to do!

We have no excuse! Who have you been blaming for why you don’t do this or that?

Lets put on our big boy pants and man up to the challenges and the calling that God has for us!

Man up! The Apostle Paul is telling his disciple Timothy to man up!

It is a good word for you and a good word for me today!

Application

I will man up! How about you? Where do you need self-discipline?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I know that when I am led by Your Holy Spirit and allow myself to be under Your control and direction that I don’t lack one single thing to accomplish what You have called me to do. My excuses are just that, they are excuses. Help me not to be a coward. Help me to be strong. Help me to be a powerful person, a person filled with love, and a person that does not lack self-discipline.
