And
Experience The Mighty Power That Raised Him From The Dead

Scripture

Philippians 3

¹⁰ I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, ¹¹ so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

Observation

I have been a Christian for over 40 years and today I say and agree with the Apostle Paul, “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead.”

Can you imagine all the things that the Apostle Paul had experienced before he penned Philippians 3:10-11?

Hadn’t he already experienced the mighty power that comes from knowing Christ? I think so! What you have here is someone expressing a hunger and a thirst to know Christ even more!

Once Christ has changed our life, there should be, just like the Apostle Paul, a deep burning desire to know Christ more.

Ephesians 3:16-20

^“ I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him.
Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.  

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” 

Application

I will memorize Philippians 3:10. How about you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I want to know Christ and experience the Power that raised Him from the dead. Help me to be able to say with Paul, “I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death” because right now that part of the verse is difficult for me. Thank You for showing me that I can trust You even when there is pain, hurt, and suffering; even when things are not going the way that I had expected or hoped for You have shown me that I can trust in You.

I pray for those who need to be lifted up and encouraged today. Lift them up Lord. Lift them up! Show them Your resurrection Power! Get them up Lord! Get them up!
