Be Strong And Brave. Don't Be Afraid … There Is A Greater Power With Us Than With Him.

Be Strong And Brave.
Don't Be Afraid …
There Is A Greater Power With Us Than With Him.
Scripture
2 Chronicles 32
7 Be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid or worried because of the king of Assyria or his large army. There is a greater power with us than with him.
8 He only has men, but we have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” The people were encouraged by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
James 5
13 Anyone who is having troubles should pray. Anyone who is happy should sing praises.
14 Anyone who is sick should call the church’s elders. They should pray for and pour oil on the person in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer that is said with faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will heal that person. And if the person has sinned, the sins will be forgiven.
16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so God can heal you.
When a believing person prays, great things happen.
Observation
King Hezekiah didn't have to fight against his enemy. God sent an angel and the angel killed 185,000 enemy soldiers in one night!
Have you ever been intimidated by someone who was not a follower of Jesus Christ? I have!
Here is what you and I need to remember the next time an ungodly person comes against us … “There is a greater power with us than with him.”
1 John 4:4
You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Romans 8:11
11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.
James 5
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Application

When I am intimidated by the ungodly I will remember that the really Powerful One resides in me. His name is Jesus! How about you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, it is easy to be afraid of some people. They are intimidating. Help me to remember that greater is He in me than he that is in the world. Open the eyes of the ungodly so that they can see Jesus and so that they can be transformed. Help me to be more concerned about their spiritual condition rather than being intimidated and afraid of them. Your Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in me. You have my back!
