Troubles Of Any Kind
Come
Your Way,
Consider
It An Opportunity For Great Joy.

1
2 Dear brothers
and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an
opportunity for great joy. 3 For you
know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to
grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your
endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete,
needing nothing.
Observation
Trouble,
Trouble, Trouble, life for all of us, is full of trouble! If you are
not dealing with trouble at this very moment, then all I have say is
that you better take a deep breath because trouble is coming your
way!
Some
troubles are not our fault or maybe not entirely our fault like for
example: getting hit by a drunk driver, or our house getting struck
by lightning, or our deteriorating health because we are getting
older.
But
some troubles that come our way are because of mistakes we make. We
are the ones to blame. For example: our bad financial decisions, our
bad behavior that has destroyed a relationship with someone we love,
and our yielding to sinful pleasures.
The
good news is this … that trouble, no matter what kind of trouble,
whether it was our fault or whether we can blame someone else,
troubles no matter what kind, they can all help us to be more like
Jesus!
So
… your troubles and my troubles… are an opportunity for great
joy!
Application
I
will try hard to look at my troubles as an opportunity for great joy!

Prayer
Heavenly
Father, all the troubles, all of the brokenness that I experience,
all give me an opportunity for great joy! Help me to see that today.
Help me see things from Your perspective!
